Why Maalbardaar in Islamabad
Built for the Capital's Inland Trade
Islamabad and Rawalpindi's trade runs through inland clearance points roughly 1,400 km from the coast. The logistics have to account for that distance.
Capital to Coast, Coordinated
We book your sailing against Karachi carrier schedules while your cargo moves through the region's inland clearance points, no gaps between clearance and departure.
Documentation Handled Early
Commercial invoice, packing list, and Certificate of Origin prepared while your cargo is still in the capital region, so the transit to Karachi isn't held up.
Hattar & Taxila Coverage
Whether your business sits in Hattar Special Economic Zone or the Taxila industrial belt, we coordinate pickup and dispatch toward Karachi's ports.
40+ Carrier Contracts at the Coast
Once your cargo reaches Karachi, it moves under existing rate agreements with 40+ ocean carriers, no separate negotiation needed at the port.
How It Works
From the Capital to the Water

Documentation & Customs
Export or import paperwork is prepared for filing at the region's inland clearance points, ahead of dispatch toward Karachi.
Dispatch & Tracking
Once your cargo is cleared and moving, shipment tracking picks up through to arrival at Karachi Port or Port Qasim.
Islamabad Trade Infrastructure
An Inland Corridor Tied to CPEC
The capital region's logistics infrastructure is shifting from a small legacy dry port toward a much larger CPEC-linked facility.
Margalla Dry Port
A 13.8-acre facility at Margalla railway station, declared a dry port in 2005 and run by Pakistan Railways. In 2025, its operations were outsourced to the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
Havelian Dry Port (Under Construction)
Part of the CPEC ML-1 railway upgrade, a new dry port near Havelian is planned at 450,000 TEU capacity, connected by a rail spur from Taxila, tying the region's trade directly to the China corridor.
Hattar Special Economic Zone
Established 2014 in Haripur District, home to 300+ industrial units producing cement, chemicals, textiles, steel, and food processing goods for the capital region's trade base.
