How Do Importers Register for PSW and Access Goods Declaration Services?

Pakistan Single Window gives traders one digital entry point for customs registration, import declarations and regulatory services. Before filing an import Single Declaration, the importer must complete the required subscription, profile and access steps.

Registration creates system access. It does not replace accurate HS-code classification, complete shipment documents, banking arrangements, permits or practical customs knowledge.

Who Can Register for Pakistan Single Window?

PSW registration for importers is available to eligible people and businesses involved in cross-border trade. PSW describes subscription as the first step for accessing trade and transit services, including Customs registration, electronic declarations, payments and regulatory licences, permits and certificates.

After subscribing, the user must associate the correct role with the Customs Management System. FBR recognizes several customs-user categories, including commercial importers, manufacturers, exporters, non-commercial traders and licensed customs agents.

A trader can also authorize a customs agent through PSW. The decision to self-file or use professional support depends on the importer’s access, internal expertise and shipment complexity. Read more about whether to file a WeBOC GD without a customs agent.

Which Business Details Are Needed for PSW Registration?

Current PSW registration requirements Pakistan applicants should prepare include identity, tax, company and contact information.

Depending on the business structure, PSW may request:

  • CNIC
  • NTN, FTN or STRN
  • SECP registration number or CUIN for a company
  • Mobile number registered to the subscriber
  • Active email address connected with the tax profile
  • Biometric or physical verification
  • Authority letter where applicable

PSW states that subscriber information is electronically captured and checked against relevant government databases. Its published subscription process includes identity information, contact verification, biometric verification and creation of a Universal ID and password.

After subscription, the trader or customs agent associates the relevant Customs role. PSW states that a separate WeBOC user ID is not required once the subscriber has completed role association with the Customs Management System.

The detailed declaration journey is covered in PSW import declaration Pakistan.

How Is a Bank Profile Connected to PSW?

PSW bank profile integration is required before an importer can file an import Single Declaration.

The trader must have an active PSW subscription, a valid account with a bank connected to PSW and contact details matching the bank’s records. The importer submits the bank, IBAN, registered email and mobile number for electronic verification by the Authorized Dealer bank.

Depending on the payment arrangement, the bank may communicate a financial instrument to PSW, including:

  • Letter of Credit
  • Advance Payment
  • Contract or Collection

PSW states that no financial instrument is required for an Open Account import, although other banking or cash-margin requirements may still apply.

Importers should confirm their payment arrangement and banking information before preparing the declaration.

What Should Importers Check After Registration?

To access PSW Goods Declaration services, confirm that the account is active and connected to the correct business, Customs role and banking profile.

Before filing, check that:

  • The PSW subscription and user credentials are active
  • Trader or customs-agent role association is complete
  • The banking profile shows the correct account
  • Authorized payment modes are available
  • Commercial and transport documents are ready
  • HS or PCT codes have been reviewed
  • Required permits and certificates are identified

PSW allows authorized subscribers with an integrated banking profile to access the import Single Declaration service. The filing workflow includes consignment information, financial instruments, commodity details, document uploads, validation, submission and system-generated payment information.
