The first three digits are the airline's prefix, and the last eight digits are the serial number. The prefix tells you which airline carries the cargo, and so which airline's data we look up.
Air cargo often connects through a hub, so one AWB can travel on several flights. Tracking shows the movement from one stage to the next, so you can see whether it is still on its way or has landed.
Arrival at the airport is not the same as being ready for collection. The cargo must be unloaded, and customs clearance is needed before it can leave the terminal. Cargo into Qatar is declared through Al-Nadeeb, the customs single-window system run by the General Authority of Customs.

An air waybill number is the reference printed on the air waybill, the document that covers an air cargo shipment. It is made of a 3 digit airline prefix and an 8 digit serial number, for example 157-12345675.
Look at the first three digits. For example, 157 is Qatar Airways Cargo, 176 is Emirates SkyCargo and 235 is Turkish Cargo.
Tracking works from the AWB number. A flight number alone does not identify your shipment, so use the AWB from your shipping documents.
