Hamad Port has a genuine, currently published place on Asyad Line’s network, through the India Express Service (IEX). Asyad’s own live services page lists the IEX rotation as Nhava Sheva, Hazira and Mundra on the Indian side, then Sohar and Jebel Ali, then Hamad, then Dammam, before looping back through Jebel Ali, Sohar and Nhava Sheva. That puts Qatar squarely between Oman’s hub ports and the Saudi Gulf coast on one of Asyad’s three named strings, and it’s the only one of the three, alongside the Far East Express and Red Sea Express, that touches Qatar at all. An older Asyad network page, since apparently superseded, described a differently named Oman Express Service also calling Hamad; we treat the current services page as the more reliable source of what Asyad actually runs today, but a longer institutional history of Qatar-calling Asyad services under different names is consistent with what both pages show.

What Asyad’s services page does not specify is which Hamad Port terminal the IEX call actually uses, and we found no secondary source that fills that gap. Given how sparsely documented Asyad is generally, per the global Asyad page’s own note about its thin public footprint on things like fleet size and SCAC code, that omission here is unsurprising rather than an oversight specific to Qatar.

We also could not confirm a Qatar office or local agent for Asyad Line. The carrier’s contact channels point back to its Muscat headquarters rather than to a market-specific branch, so confirm your local point of contact for a Hamad Port booking through your forwarder.

Clearing an Asyad Line Shipment in Qatar

A container discharged at Hamad Port on the IEX service clears through Qatar’s Al-Nadeeb single-window customs platform, operated by the General Authority of Customs, with the bill of lading, commercial invoice and packing list reconciled against the vessel manifest before release. Because Asyad publishes no container prefix of its own, as the global Asyad page explains, and because the specific Hamad Port terminal for this service is unconfirmed, Maalbardaar checks the discharge terminal directly against your delivery order rather than assuming a fixed berth.

The IEX rotation is a long loop touching both India and the Saudi Gulf coast around its Hamad Port call, so a delay picked up earlier in the string, at Nhava Sheva, Mundra or Jebel Ali, can show up as a late Hamad Port arrival without a distinct exception event for the Qatar leg specifically. Check the vessel’s position against the full IEX rotation, not just the Hamad ETA, if you are working to a tight delivery window.
