TS Lines container prefixes
These owner codes are registered to T.S. Lines Ltd in the BIC ISO 6346 register. Containers moving under a TS Lines booking may also carry a leasing company's prefix. A leased box is still your shipment, the prefix just does not identify the carrier.

About TS Lines
TS Lines was established on 2 March 2001 by T.S. Chen and built its business on intra-Asia trades rather than competing on the deep-sea lanes. Its own about page puts it at 46 services covering 22 countries and regions as of the end of 2025. It listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in November 2024.
The company is expanding aggressively, and its orderbook represents a large fraction of its existing fleet, which is unusual for a regional operator and means any capacity figure quoted for TS Lines has a short shelf life. For shippers on China–Southeast Asia and Japan/Korea–Southeast Asia routes, it is increasingly a direct alternative to routing through the global alliances.
TS Lines is also a carrier where the publicly available data is unusually bad, and it is worth being sceptical of what you read about it elsewhere. The container prefix most sites attribute to it belongs to a different company in a different country, and at least one published “container number example” for TS Lines is structurally invalid.
TS Lines tracking: what to check first
TSLU is not TS Lines. The BIC register shows it belongs to TCI Seaways, a division of Transport Corporation of India, in Chennai. Multiple large tracking sites state TSLU is TS Lines’ official prefix. It is not, and the error is consequential: you would be tracking an Indian coastal container while looking for a Taiwanese intra-Asia shipment. TS Lines’ registered prefixes are TSTU and TSSU, and nothing else.
Ignore any five-letter container example. At least one aggregator publishes a TS Lines “container format” with five letters before the digits. ISO 6346 container numbers are always three owner letters plus one category letter, then seven digits. A five-letter number cannot exist.
Regional URLs. TS Lines serves its tracking page under a regional path segment rather than one global address, and an older legacy system still exists at a separate domain. A link that worked for a colleague in another region may not work for you, which is one reason to track here instead.
Because TS Lines is a feeder and intra-Asia operator, a shipment reaching Pakistan will usually involve a connection onto another carrier’s deep-sea service, so expect the trail to hand off at a transshipment hub.

Ocean carriers share the same terminal and vessel event vocabulary, so these milestones read the same whichever line you are tracking.
Gate in
The container passed through the terminal gate at the origin port and is now in the terminal's custody, waiting to be loaded.
Loaded on vessel
The box was lifted onto the ship. This is the milestone that fixes your shipment to a specific vessel and voyage number.
Vessel departure
The ship has sailed from the origin port. Transit time is measured from here, and it is the point most ETA calculations are anchored to.
Transshipment
The container was discharged at an intermediate hub and will be reloaded onto a second vessel. Most delays originate here rather than at origin.
Discharged
The container came off the ship at the destination port. Free time and demurrage clocks typically start from this event.
Gate out
The container left the terminal on a truck or rail wagon. Once this fires, the terminal's storage charges stop and the haulier's clock starts.
Empty return
The unpacked container was returned to the carrier's nominated depot. This closes the shipment and stops any per-diem detention charges.

No, and this is the most widely repeated error about this carrier. The BIC register shows TSLU belongs to TCI Seaways, a division of Transport Corporation of India, based in Chennai. Searching a TSLU box as TS Lines will mis-attribute an Indian coastal container to a Taiwanese carrier. TS Lines' real prefixes are TSTU and TSSU.

What is TS Lines' SCAC code?

We do not publish one. TS Lines is absent from both published ocean-carrier SCAC lists we checked, and the values circulating online conflict: one source lists TXZJ, another lists TSTU, which appears to be a confusion with the container prefix. Rather than guess, we leave it out.

TS Lines runs its site with regional path segments, so the tracking page lives under a region rather than at a single global URL. A saved link from one region may not work from another. There is also a legacy system at an older domain that some documentation still references.
Where is TS Lines based?

Both Hong Kong and Taipei, depending on which entity you mean. TS Lines listed on the Hong Kong exchange in November 2024 and its about page gives Hong Kong, while the container-owner address registered with BIC is on Tun-Hua North Road in Taipei. The Taipei entity is the operating one.
